Wednesday, 9 October 2019 BPS East Luwu Regency held a coordination meeting in the form of Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to discuss data needs and data availability in connection with Publication of East Luwu Regency in Figures (DDA) in 2019. This activity was held at Hotel I Lagaligo, Malili District .

Head of Sub-Division of Administration of East Luwu BPS, Andi Anugerah, SP, in his report said that this activity was attended by 40 participants consisting of 20 representatives from the Regional Representative Council and 20 BPS employees from East Luwu Regency.

The FGD activity was opened by the Head of BPS of East Luwu Regency, Drs. Abdul Halim, M.Sc. In his remarks he said that with accurate data the local government could determine the direction and development policies to be implemented. In addition, he also said that the statistical data currently produced is always a reference for the government in making policies.

In this activity the head of BPS in East Luwu Regency also participated in socializing the 2020 Population Census. There were two stages in the implementation: the online census (independent census) in February-March and the complete census in July and the dissemination of SIMDASI (Integrated Statistical Data Management Information System) as an effort BPS participates towards one Indonesian data. It is hoped that in the future DDA data collection can be integrated with SIMDASI.

Realizing the importance of preparing DDA publications, the Head of BPS of East Luwu Regency invited all DPOs to work together in developing East Luwu Regency with data, he hoped that the data provided to BPS was truly accurate and could be guaranteed the truth.
