Friday, January 14, 2022, a coordination meeting in the form of a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was held by the Bappeda of Luwu timur Regency to discuss regional conditions, problems, and strategic issues for the development of the Luwu timur region. This activity was carried out in the Banggar DPRD meeting room, Luwu timur Regency, Malili.
This activity was attended by the Chairman of the Luwu timur DPRD who also served as moderator, the Head of the Luwu timur Bappeda who was the initiator of this event to be carried out and also conveyed material on the formulation of the 2023 RKPD draft draft plan, the Head of Luwu timur BPS who was invited as a resource person to provide an overview analysis of regional conditions, problems and strategic issues, DPRD members to provide input and also the heads of regional apparatus organizations as units directly involved in their respective fields.
This activity aims to produce bright ideas to overcome strategic problems in Luwu timur, at this event the head of Luwu timur BPS conveyed problems related to the economy in Luwu timur, from the side of GRDP the largest share was from 2 sectors namely the mining and agriculture sectors, where from these 2 sectors alone, they have contributed almost 70% of the GDP share, so for future planning this sector needs more mature work, especially in the agricultural sector because most of the people of Luwu timur work in agriculture, and also in the mining sector, the local government lacks has the authority because most of those who take care of this mining are central. From other sectors, budget management must also be prioritized, for example in the tourism sector.
The Head of Bappeda also delivered material on the formulation of the draft RKPD draft in 2022 with the theme "Accelerating economic growth, strengthening regional infrastructure, and fulfilling basic services" in which there are 6 budget priorities, namely:
1. Improving education and health services
2. Observance of infrastructure and facilities for the agricultural and tourism sectors
3. Strengthening infrastructure to support agriculture and tourism
4. Increasing investment and competitive business opportunities
5. Realizing good and innovative governance
6. Maintaining religious tolerance and preserving cultural values
