Abstract

In January 2024 there will be year on year (y-on-y) inflation in East Luwu Regency of 2.60 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.21.

Y-on-y inflation occurs due to an increase in prices as indicated by rising prices several expenditure group indices, namely: food and beverage groups and tobacco by 6.50 percent; groups of equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance by 3.85 percent; transportation group by 0.93 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 2.49 percent; and the food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.82 percent. Apart from that, there was deflation in several expenditure group indices, including: clothing and footwear group at 0.52 percent; housing group, water, electricity and household fuel by 1.34 percent; health group by 0.7 percent; information, communication and financial services group amounting to 0.53 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.11 percent. Meanwhile, in the education group there was no change in the price index (stable).

Month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate East Luwu Regency in January 2024 respectively at 0.52 percent.
