DATA COLLECTION OF MICRO AND SMALL INDUSTRIES FOR SUPPORTING "MAKING INDONESIA 4.0"

October 28, 2019 | BPS Activities

Making Indonesia 4.0 is an industry road map. This road map was born as a step taken by the government in addressing the stagnation and declining trend of the added value of the manufacturing industry sector for the Indonesian economy. The contribution of the industrial sector in recent years decreased to 19.86 percent in 2018.
The manufacturing industry sector not only contributes to the economy through increased value added production, but also contributes to employment. This industrial sector is not only large and medium scale but includes small and micro. The development of micro and small industry enterprises (IMK) is seen as important in the development of the industrial sector. IMK as a contributor to the national economy.
In order to meet the needs of accurate data and information related to policy making and development of the manufacturing industry sector, especially IMK, BPS conducts the 2019 Annual Micro and Small Industry survey. The IMK survey is expected to provide a comprehensive picture of IMK profiles and data covering the distribution of IMK, raw materials, labor, and so on.
Annual VIMK19 is implemented in almost all districts / cities with the potential for IMK in all provinces in Indonesia with a total of 13,797 census blocks selected and covering 90,529 businesses / companies. Including BPS in East Luwu Regency who participated in the annual IMK1918 event.
BPS Luwu Timur District has carried out these activities which are divided into several stages. First is the listing / data collection of IMK contained in the Census Block in August 2019. Second Withdrawal of samples to select a sample of 109 IMK spread across 18 Census Blocks. The three enumeration samples of 109 IMK were carried out in September 2019. And the last processing was carried out in October.
